Reviews of Behringer B1500X Eurolive Subwoofer (15 In.)
Feature: Built in crossover is handy,bi-amp if you can,it's a good improvement and don't use at much more than 100hz,just gets too boomy
Quality: Build quality is good-strong grill and carpet,if a little plain. casting on handles a little rough. Enclosure has heaps of internal bracing too.
Value: Cheap subs that do the job-just need help sounding right
Desirability: Not a premium product- i hear behringer may make an active sub soon
Sound: A bit boomy before eq,and can't handle much below 40hz without'whoomping'. I use mine with the b1020's and the overall package is capable of filling fairly large areas. To get the best out of these,i have cut them off at 44hz/24db/oct and use a behringer ultrabass processor. Together this sounds punchy and loud but not very well extended.
Support: Had a problem with my 8024 ultracurve(yes i own plenty of their gear!) But the music store i deal with(in Australia) swapped it straight away-no questions asked.new unit is brilliant
Overall: I wouldv'e been happy to pay a bit more for better power handling/sound quality. If behringer can make reasonable but cheap product, why don't thay make some unreal mid priced gear?(speaker wise)
