Reviews of SKB 88-Key Slimline Keyboard Case With Wheels (Model 5817W) Quality: I have a Kurzweil PC-88MX, and the case simply can't handle the weight of the keyboard. It bends, the handles pull off, it's not pretty. And they expect this thing to survive a flight? I barely trust it on the road. If you don't abuse your cases much (i.e. don't travel) you probably won't have an issue, but even for semi-regular gigging it doesn't hold up. Value: I'm looking into getting a different case because it's not sturdy enough, but like I said, SKB stands behind its product. For the price, it may be better to go with Calzone Cases, which is what I'm looking into--they'll build a custom case for about the same as this one, but if weight is an issue the SKB case wins (the case I'm looking into is 10-20 lbs heavier). Support: Customer service is fantastic--they fixed up my case for free (I just had to pay shipping there) and called to make sure it got back to me in good shape. Overall: SKB's guitar cases are much stronger. Don't buy the keyboard case unless weight is your primary concern.
