Reviews of Ibanez SR305DX 5-String Electric Bass Guitar Feature: This one has the Phat active bass boost system which turned at max is great for the usual stuff. Turned off the sound gets more clear and is great when tapping and/or soloing. The volume does drop pretty much when the boost system is turned off so you might want to have some effect pedal or something to add a little more power with it.. Quality: Always something to make better. I think the neck could definitely be better manufactured than this one has. The frets are too long so their ends scratch my fingers and some of them seem to be a little lifted so I bet I'll have some problems with it later.. Value: Despite the flaws this one's sure worth the Euros I paid for it. Desirability: This one's both. A good looking and great sounding instrument. I tried several basses from different manufacturers (Yamaha, Warwick, Epiphone, OLP and Ibanez). The Yamaha was the second best option but cost more so I chose the Ibanez. Sound: Best I've heard yet. There might be and probably is better sounding basses around but anyway it sounds great :) Overall: It's very good but could be better. Anyway it's definitely worth the money I paid for it.
