Reviews of Line 6 FM4 Filter/Synth Modeler Pedal Feature: I like the all/only knobs feature. I would not liely have the interest or patience to learn a computer-programmed setup - what I wanted (and got) was a simple, portable hand-tweakable synth add-on. Quality: Product is built very well. Its heavy and seems rugged. It came with AC adaptor, and I read the back that says "1.2 Amps minimum" - made me wonder, what kind of monster heat must be dissipated inside this thing? I hope it doesn't break down or something. I also took some pliers and pulled a few knobs off to see what kind of moisture barrier was there - there is None! so don't leave it out under anything dripping ... Value: I paid $150 used and think that's a fair. For $350 (list new) I could probably buy a used low-end synth kybd. Desirability: Best pedal I've ever owned, bar none. Exceeeedingly cool. Sound: It is amazingly complex - I've had it for 1 week and can tell this pedal isn't going to be quick to outgrow! At first, I thought it would be an easy matter of tweaking the knowbs until i got what i wanted. Interestingly however, the sounds are much different "live" with band than what I thought I heard in a quiet room, so I'd say you have to take it for many test drives before you've decided on your fav settings... Support: On line support is as easy as download the manuals. The FAQ section seems to be basically quotes from the manuals. Overall: 1-2 years.
