Reviews of MAudio Audiophile 2496 Feature: Midi in/out is handy for MTC syncing .S/pdif Input however doesn'twork with all sources- to insensitive perhaps.Wrote a mail about it to M-Audio but they were in the woods too...never heard from them again allthough they said they were gonna investigate this issue.This,for me was a major bummer.Otherwise,the "Features"rating was higher,ofcourse Quality: Again,no b*llshit nonsense features on this card -just a plain card with a flat frequency response -ideal for recording.And no,this card is not for games.Buy another card for that(..actually I did.Just to play the occasionally game :) ) Value: Allthough the product didn't deliver all the goodies I expected( the S/PDIF thingy) the price/quality is just right. Sound: Clear,Precise soundquality.No frills,just a good soundcard. Support: Support is mediocre -you have to wait a LONG time to get an reply -and then you have to send them the same email because they tell you the obvious (for my problem regarding the S/PDIF that is.Ïs your cable connected properly and so on.)
