Reviews of Samson C-Control Studio Headphone/Monitor Matrix Feature: I love the feature set. Just what I need. Too bad it sounds so bad. Quality: Nice solid box etc., but its main job is to pass clean signal to my monitors, and it does NOT do that. Value: Sure it's cheap, but for me it was a waste of money. Desirability: I like the box a lot. Solid. Fits the rack adapter solidly. Cool box. Too bad it sounds so bad. Sound: It really does add lo-fi to the sound. I am monitoring my MOTU 828 through 20/20bas monitors and it sounds great until I put the Samson C-Control in the chain--then it gets mushy and the imaging and detail are all gone. Darn, I really wanted this to work but it sounds gross. I may find some use for the thing, or not. Anybody want one used a few minutes only? Support: No idea. Overall: I bought this but will not be using it. I can't hear through it properly. Darn shame. I guess I'll have to wait until Behringer steals the idea.
